The PUNCH writes that on Friday, Polish striker Robert Lewandowski was introduced to the Barcelona supporters at the Camp Nou.

Lewandowski was introduced as Barcelona’s new No. 9 after leaving Bayern Munich for €50 million (£42 million or $50 million).

The iconic jersey was passed down from Memphis Depay, who was rumored to be leaving Camp Nou after Lewandowski’s signing, to the top scorer in Europe.

Even though Lewandowski didn’t score for the team in the preseason, he dismissed any notion that his best years were behind him at his first press conference at Barca’s stadium on Thursday. Lewandowski will turn 34 later this month.
