Christian Eriksen joins Brentford following a heart arrest seven months ago

Christian Eriksen, a Danish footballer who suffered a heart arrest during last year’s European Championships, signed with Premier League side Brentford on Monday, capping off a spectacular return to the sport.

The pacemaker-equipped 29-year-old playmaker has signed a deal that runs until the conclusion of the season.

“Brentford FC can confirm the signing of Denmark international midfield player Christian Eriksen, subject to international clearance,” read a club statement, saying he had joined “after completing a medical assessment”.
