Barcelona’s Dembele has agreed to join PSG, according to reports

Ousmane Dembele is in talks to join Paris Saint-Germain on a permanent basis.

After instructing Dembele, who is out of contract at the end of the season, to find another club, Barcelona is demanding £20 million for the deal.

Despite interest from the Premier League, Dembele secured a verbal deal with PSG on Sunday, according to Skyspors.

Moussa Sissoko and Marco Lichtsteiner, the winger’s representatives, are striving to find a solution for him.

On Thursday, Barcelona reminded Dembele that if he does not want to sign their prior offer of a new short-term contract with a wage cut, he should look for another club.

Dembele would want to stay for the rest of his contract, but Barcelona has made it obvious that they want him out now, even threatening to leave him in the stands if he does not depart.

The 24-year-old joined the club for £135 million from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2017 – just weeks after Neymar’s world-record switch to PSG – but has been plagued by ailments for much of his time in Spain.

Dembele has only started six games this season, scoring once in a Copa del Rey win over third-tier Linares earlier this month.
