Referee Sparks Corruption Allegations In English Premier League

Former English Premier League Referee, Mark Halsey has sparked corruption allegations in the league, having revealed he was told to miss some actions.

Mark Halsey made the revelation on social media, claiming he was told to say he missed controversial incidents back when he was officiating premier league matches.

The referee revealed that the Professional Games Match officials Limited (PGMOL) were the organization who told him to say he missed fouls, not the football association in England. However, fingers could be pointed at the recent decision to ban Manchester city star Sergio Aguero who was given a retrospective three-game ban for elbowing West Ham’s Winston Reid, despite the Citizens claiming that referee Andre Marriner did in fact see the incident during the game.referee

Red devils legend, Gary Neville has commented on Halsey’s allegations, claiming they could be evidence of corruption in the league.

Professional Games Match officials Limited (PGMOL) was formed in 2001, and provides referees for the Premier League, Football League, and FA, who all provide them with funding, as well as working to improve the standards of refereeing in the English League.
