Ali Modu Sheriff, the factional national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has commenced moves to select another governorship candidate for the party’s governorship election in Ondo State.
Sheriff who set up a screening committee on Thursday for aspirants said that the decision for the party’s candidate for the election would be made by the delegates.
The governorship aspirants for Sheriff’s faction were Barrister Jimoh Ibrahim, Prince Bamiduro Dada, Hon. Niran Sule, Hon Sola Ebiseni and Barrister Abiye Ademoye.
The primaries conducted last week by the caretaker chairman of the PDP, Senator Ahmed Makarfi produced former Commissioner, Eyitayo Jegede as the PDP candidate.
