At Last! CJ Sets To Address Conflicting Court Orders

Less than twenty-four hour after factional Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ali Modu Sherriff petitioned President Buhari and Chief Judge of the Federal High Court, Justice Ibrahim Ndahi Auta, over the crisis confronting the party, the CJ is on a move to address spates of inconsistent Court judgments across the country.

Recall that the pronouncements of different Court orders over the PDP leadership crisis raised many questions about the credibility of the Nigerian judicial system.

It was learned that Justice Auta, who was supposed to travel abroad cancelled his trip in order to address the recurring cases of judicial inconsistency forwarded to his office.

According to a popular daily, the chief Judge had mandated all the judges handling files related to the PDP to communicate him clearly on the developments thus far, so that he will know the step to take.

This move is expected to make a difference in the country’s judicial system, with some people becoming scapegoats.
